Hull Bay Hideaway

music

Hull Bay features the finest live music on St Thomas, with both local and off-island bands.

Rock & Roll, Soca, Reggae and Top 40 bands are just some of the styles we showcase.

There's always something for everyone - and there's hardly ever a cover!

Hello fellow music enthusiasts,

Please take a minute to read the update on the upcoming bands at the Hideaway this month. We are attempting to get the word out on these quality bands in an effort to encourage new and old visitors alike to enjoy not only the great tunes but the fun beach atmosphere at the Hideaway. If you haven't visited us in a while, I think you will find great service and quality food in a laid back beach atmosphere (hey, where else can you jam to live music in a hammock swing with your toes in the sand?). We appreciate your continued support during the improvements and look forward to seeing you soon at THE HULL BAY HIDEAWAY, St. Thomas' original beach bar!

Sunday March 16th
Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin Alter Boys.

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, the Reverend has been playing blues since 1971. Since then, he has been awarded multiple acclaims in the Blues arena for his multi-faceted guitar, singer- song writer and harmonica playing style of blues. Aside from the great vocals the Reverend brings to the table (and the islands), he brings with him a hugely talented band ensemble that is nothing short of breathtaking. A chance to see the Reverend perform at Hull Bay Beach is an opportunity you won't want to miss. And let's face it, anyone that is creative and daring enough to call his band Reverend Raven and the Chain Smoking Alter Boys has gotta have some talent- and man this band does!!

Sunday March 23rd
Dick Solberg and the Sun Mountain Band a.k.a. "The Fiddler"

Whether you have never had the opportunity to see The Fiddler live in the islands or you have been following his spring tour here for decades, you shouldn't miss this opportunity to see The Sun Mountain Band's last show in Hull Bay. The band utilizes a pawn shop of instruments to create what the fiddler himself calls "New England Country Bluegrass Reggae Folk Irish Cajun original funny music". One is never sure who is having more fun: the Fiddler and his entourage singing and dancing on stage or the crowd singing or dancing in the sand at Hull Bay. Stage presence, personality and clever lyrics combine to make this band one of the Virgin Islands favorite seasonal tours and Hull Bay is the place to kick you heals up and say as The Fiddler does- "Ain't it great to be alive!"

Sunday March 30th
The Deb Callahan Band

The Deb Callahan has gained a reputation for writing creative blues, soul and roots influence original music. Along with her multi-talented band, her powerful, emotionally expressive voice and engaging stage presence deliver a unique, high energy live show. Blues Revue referred to her as the next Bonnie Raitt and raved "Deb Callahan has the pipes, the songs and the raw talent to graduate to the next level." Deb's rich, honest and soulful tunes resonate with listeners and run the gamut from soulful ballads to upbeat, dance oriented romps. If you miss the chance to hear this great talent all the way from snowy Philadelphia down at Hull Bay Hideaway you'll be the one singing the blues!
